If your not part of the Scratch Weekly Newspaper Team (specifically the Call All Talents Editorial Team), you won't get this XD. Check out the newspaper it's really good and I'm totally not biased ----> https://scratch.mit.edu/users/ScratchWeekIy/ Quick notes: - If you try and click the weekly task complete button on and off in the progress bar, it will only change if you have signed up for a task :) - I was thinking we only update the announcement forums when there is an big update in the CAT or Scratch Weekly forum. For example: New member - change announcement date Another normal comment - don't change the announcement date Turning in the article - change announcement date Team evaluation in the Scratch Weekly forum - change announcement date Press Space For Future Ideas, So this isn't totally done yet it's just a base for what I want the UI to look like. In the future whenever one of us opens the project it will automatically log us into our "Account". Basically, an "Account" just means a different color scheme, nickname, and tasks per person. Right now each of us is logged into my account just for showing the super limited prototype Each day the check-boxes will reset and eventually, on the homepage there will be an icon showing you have completed your tasks. I'm hoping to add a home with information about the article number we're on and progress on the writing. Usually, we divide the tasks such as interviewing or going to the photo editors on the forums but I had an idea to have a "sign up" each week where each person can sign up for one of these additional tasks. That way everyone gets a turn and there's less confusion on whos doing what. Group tasks will be things like choosing a project or collective article writing. Maybe we can add a voting feature so we can vote on different projects for the next article? Announcements would be news from Scratch Weekly Headquarters that one of us can add for the others to see or just group news in general. Archives would be the last thing to be added (or completely left out) its not 100% necessary but it would be fun. It would have a virtual library of all of the articles (or some) that we have written and all of the CATS members would have their own plaque on the virtual library wall. That way if this project continues being used after we're done with the newspaper people can see the original and incoming members. I'm hoping to give the scratch weekly account admin powers to come in and look at our progress on the home menu. Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions! :D
