-Here is my entry! Sorry for too much, I just kinda got into the zone. Hope you like it.- I might make this into a series, who knows ☂️ Chapter one: The storm. ☂️ Seven shivered as a raindrop splashed on the back of her neck, leaking from their small house's shabby roof. The storm was still relentless after days of pouring rain and rumbling thunder. Her sister, Phoenix, sat on her small bed, sketching. Her clothes were soaked and her flaming red hair was matted. "Phoenix?" Seven said. "Mmh? Oh-yeah, what?" Phoenix responded, erasing a line on her sketch. "I'm going to go out and get some strawberries from the garden." "Sure." Phoenix mumbled, drawing frilly borders. Seven wandered outside, letting the rain soak her. She went into their garden, looking around for the bed of strawberries. Then she saw that the bed had been moved into the deer-proof cage, a large metal fenced area with barbed wire and a small door. Her mother, Anita, Didn’t allow her or Phoenix to go inside without her. She sighed. She'd have to wait until Anita got home from the market. Something caught her eye. She looked around and saw someone standing in the shadows of the woods. It stepped out of the shadows and Seven got a closer look. It had odd greenish skin and wooden horns like a deer's. It had elvish ears and leathery armor-like clothes. Seven stared at the thing, terrified. She ran inside, as fast as she could. ✏️ Chapter two: the sketch. ✏️ Phoenix inked eyes onto her drawing. The door slammed as Seven came in. "You forgot a basket." Phoenix mumbled. When Seven didn’t answer, she looked up to see her sweating and scared. "What’s wrong?" She asked attentively. "Thing. Outside. Creepy." Seven rasped. She slumped down onto the bed. She glanced at Phoenix's drawing. "It looked exactly like that!" Seven realized. Phoenix looked at it. It was a drawing of dryad, a mythical forest creature. "You saw a dryad?" She asked. "No. Well, yes. I don’t know." Seven muttered. Phoenix stood up and walked to the bookshelf that housed the small collection of books that were Seven and hers. She ran her fingers across a row of leather bound books until she came to one titled: “Beckett's guide to mythological forest creatures”. She blew off a thin layer of dust and sat down, flipping to a page marked “Dryads". "But...they have been extinct for hundreds of years. How could you have seen one?" Phoenix murmured. "I don't know, but some powerful magic forces are at work." Seven concluded. -Thank you for reading! I hope you have an awesome day/night/afternoon/morning!-
