This is Firestar and Sandstorm in the nursery with Squirrelkit and Leafkit. <3 First of all, let me say that I am my worst critic. I will look back on an art piece months or maybe even weeks after I drew it and be able to point out everything I could improve or what I forgot to do, so let me, not you, be the one to say what I don't like about this piece. 1. The shading. It's not that the shading is bad or anything, but I forgot to blend it out in a few spots, and the shading is way to dark in some places. (This is why I more often cell shade when doing digital art) 2. I didn't use clipping masks!!!! WHY?!?!?! To be fair, this was before I knew how to use them. But it just looks so messy in some spots because I colored outside the lines and didn't bother erasing!!!!! 3. Squirrelkit. I absolutely love Squirrelflight and everything about her (me impatiently waiting to call her Squirrelstar even though I know it might be a vain hope), and I feel like she could've been better. I overworked the eyes, for starters, and her tail isn't as fluffy as I can do, and I absolutely hate her position. It's just kinda awkward. 4. Leafkit.
