All people deserve love. No one can force you to love. You can’t choose who you love. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I have spent years in the closet. I have hidden what makes me happy and the little things that hurt me. I can’t choose who I love. It doesn’t work like that. No one can tell you that your choice of partner is flawed or that you are not valid. You can say that my characters have to be straight, that they can’t be trans, or gender fluid, or non-binary (etc.). You can tell me that I’m going to hell or that I have no worth in today’s society. You can scream at me on the streets, bully me on the internet, and act like I have no value as your friend; But I am the same person you have known all along. Nothing has changed. I just told you a detail about me that you didn’t know before. I’m not afraid to face those who are not accepting of me. I accept me; and that’s what matters. You can’t choose who you love, and yelling at me can’t change that fact; everyone is valid, everyone deserves love, everyone deserves to be happy. Don’t feel pressured by this project to come out. If you feel like there might be danger in coming out to your parents or teachers then don’t. Wait until you’re old enough, finish school, get a job, and move out. No one should be put in danger for their sexuality or gender, but I’m afraid that the opinions of others aren’t something we can control. I am open to chat and listen to vents if you need me. <3
