Hover your mouse over the banana. Touching banana will be set to one. Click the red button. The sprite at the mouse will say something. Then hover over the banana. Notice how touching banana won't be set to one. I assume this is a scratch glitch in which the "touching" block doesn't work if the sprite in question is saying something.
