Controls: - Up, Down, N and M to simulate movement. - Space to fire - 1 to switch to fists - 2 to switch to pistol - 3 to switch to shotgun
The weapon graphics and sounds were made by Adrian Carmack and Bobby Prince, respectively, in 1993 for the game Doom. I took a few liberties with the weapons' sprites. For example, the pistol and fists have fewer frames and fire faster than usual. The shotgun isn't perfect either, but it should be reasonably close for somebody who isn't intimately familiar with Doom. The shotgun also kind of 'melts' when playing the muzzle flash animations. I hate it. This project is only partly complete. TODO: - Add smooth movement fade - Fix bugs, iron out the project - Add SSG to weapon slot 3. Figure out how slot sharing will work, because the shotgun is already in slot 3. - Add weapon dip when switching between weapons - (If possible) re-upload the sprites at the proper resolution. Scratch messed that up. Some bugs I've fixed so far: - Weapon moved to center when not moving, even if currently animating. Now, it will only move if not animating at all. - Added shotgun - Tweaked the tickrate to more closely resemble Doom.
