look here for more info: before i get into the info about my art process, i just wanted to thank @roastiitoastii for being a friend and for also wanting to do an at, i love you my little stinkie! <333 this is all done in procreate, so if you want to use some of these for your process, you can. 1. add the ref before any art, i add the ref for my artwork. this is different if i’m working on a character design. process of adding a ref is quite simple, here ya go my little stinkies! 2. sketch i usually like to sketch beforehand as this gives me an idea on what i’m doing. i sketch with nadiaxel’s sketch and soft lineart brush. *after a good look at the sketch, you can see which brush i used* 3. lineart i then colour-grab what colour lineart is on the ref. then i lowered the opacity of the sketch layer and started the lineart. for lineart i usually use the default lineart tabs technical pen brush. 4. base colour after the lineart, i get rid of the sketch and make a layer underneath and made a base colour ‘colouring’. after that i did a quick clean up. the brush i use here is nadiaxel’s standard airbrush brush. 5. shadows now i make a new layer and i turned it into a clipping mask over the base colour. then i picked a dark yellow because i didn’t see a shadow colour on there and got to work doing that. after completing that part i clicked on the ‘n’ on the layer and changed it to linear burn, then i changed the opacity till i was happy. the brush i used for this was the same one as i use for the base colour. 6. light very similar to the process of making shadows. i got a new layer and made it a clipping mask and picked a light yellow colour for the light. then i got to work on deciding where the light was coming from, then i clicked on the ‘n’ on the layer, but this time chose ‘add’ and played around with the opacity till i was happy. the brushes i used here were the same as the shadow, however i also used big softie from nadiaxel’s set. 7. signature here is where i got the lineart colour and wrote my name. i then lowered the opacity. and that’s it! what did you guys think? i hope you like it! <33 this is the one artwork that i’m semi-happy with. program: procreate time: ~2 hours song: honey moon that i edited through scratch editor
