The only thing separating us was a river. It stared right at me as if it was sending me a message, but through our two minds, we stood there for about 8 minutes. Then it looked away as if it was shameful of something? Then I knew what was going on, I spoke, “You!” But nothing more. I stood there for another 8 minutes, then it disappeared into the shadows. I ran back to my house and looked out the window. The same animal was on my roof! Staring at me once more! It signaled to hop on its back, I got on and suddenly felt a big wave of warmth! Like it was a blanket on fire! It took off before I had a second to think! It swished throw the treetops like it all belonged to her. Then she jumped, and it was like we were flying! Then I closed my eyes, and then when I opened them, I was at the entrance to a palace! I got off her back and she dashed down through the clouds. Two dogs came up to me. One said, “Hey you, know that cat?” I replied and said, “No not really.” The second one said. “Don’t be so harsh, bird brain!” The first one said “Sorry!” Then they introduced themselves. The first one was named, Scout, and the second one was named, June. They were pretty nice! But I was still wondering about that amazing orange cat. They saw I was thinking about her, and they told me the story of the majestic cat. Scout started. “Once there was a criminal, named Kea. She was bad!” Then June continued. “And one day said she was good! And no one believed her!” said June “So, she tried to show she was good! And then no one trusted her in town, so she really did go dark!” “And now we try to catch her, too this day.” Scout finished glaring at June. A blue ember shot across the sky! “Oh no!” Said Scout. “Her army is coming!” “What no!” Said June. I knew it! It was so bad for her to come, “Think we need to get ready?” Said Scout. “No.” Said June. “Let’s let the others take care of this!” Said June. I said, “What why?!” “Because honey, your, going in prison!” “What why?!?” “This really is getting old!” Said June. “You know that story of Kea?” “Yes?” I said, “Well, it’s the other way around.” “She’s the good guy and where, well, the bad guys!” “What?” I said, “Yes, and you're just what we need to get her to surrender!” Said Scout. I needed a plan! So, I tried to think of one, but there was no point! But then Kea came back! She punched June in the face and took off! Her army new it was time to go, so they left and disappeared. She told me. “That was brave you know!” Her voice was comforting, and it was like she can talk you into anything! She gave me a neckless that she said will always take care of me! She took me home, and I hugged her goodbye. And she told me something as she ran off, it sounded like. “When we meet again, I shall not leave!”
