This is a Palace of Points affiliated project. Please visit this studio for more information: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/26491568/ ────── ★ ────── ✰ Welcome to the Palace of Points! PoP is a virtual mall where you can open a shop and sell items to others for points! ✰ Fill out this form (in the studio) to join PoP: [Username (no @ sign)] || [What I plan to sell] (This can change)] || [Codeword #1] || [Codeword #2] PLEASE COMMENT YOUR JOIN FORM IN THE POP MAIN STUDIO AND NOT ON THIS PROJECT! ___ explanation ˊ- ⇨ In the Palace of Points, you can buy and sell virtual items for points! All projects in the PoP main studio are shops. ⇨ To purchase an item, comment on a shop with your banking number and what you intend to buy. Most shops have an order form in the project description to streamline this process. ⇨ The seller (or buyer) then posts a transaction in the studio (see the "Transaction" section), and a manager transfers points from the buyer to the seller. ⇨ After you sell a product, you permit the buyer to backpack and use the item with credit (unless your shop's terms of service indicate otherwise). ___ notes ˊ- ⤿ Everyone starts with 100 points. ⤿ Find your banking number in the banking project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/597256220/ ⤿ If you're nearing debt, visit the ATM to receive a loan: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/30000046/ ___ product terms ˊ- Once someone owns your item, they can use it anywhere WITH CREDIT. They cannot resell your item for PoP points or other currency. Establish specific shop policies if you have different product terms. These might be: ⤿ You can only use my items in scratch projects, and not on other websites. ⤿ If you resell my items, you must equally split all profits with me. ⤿ You may resell my items with credit. Or just: ⤿ You may resell my items without credit. ___ transactions ˊ- After selling an item, post a transaction form in the main studio. A manager will transfer points from the buyer to the seller. Transaction form: [Buyer's #] gives [# of points] to [Seller's #]. Proof: [Link to proof] Please be patient if a manager does not transact immediately. If it has been a few days and your point balance is unchanged, please contact a manager for assistance. ___ Cᴏdewᴏrd 1 is [the number of shared projects you currently have]. ___ chores ˊ- Complete chores for other members to earn points! Here are a few ideas if you're interested in hiring: ⤿ Include a link and banner to the shop in your forum signature (for an allocated amount of time) ⤿ Deal with sales (such as informing customers when orders are complete and posting transactions in the main studio) ⤿ Propose ideas for new products The member who hires you for the chores pays you. Make sure you've discussed payment beforehand. ___ collab shops ˊ- In collab shops, you divide the workload (and points) between multiple people. Here are a few jobs that you could split with the other collab shop members: Thumbnail ▹ Shop Layout ▹ Custom Art ▹ Premade Items ▹ Décor ▹ Point Transactions ▹ Project Description ___ product ideas ˊ- Advice ▹ Animations ▹ Art ▹ Backdrops ▹ Bug/Code Fixes ▹ Color Palettes ▹ Designs ▹ Feedback ▹ OCs ▹ Posters ▹ Sound Effects ▹ Thumbnails ▹ Voice Auditions ▹ Writing ANYTHING YOU WANT! ✰ ___ opening a successful shop ˊ- 1. Consider what you sell. It should be something you are comfortable with and enjoy doing. Play on your strengths! Unique items also tend to sell better; shoppers love innovative and creative products. 2. Be clear and organized. If someone visits your shop and cannot find prices or your shop is very cluttered and cramped, they are unlikely to buy anything. 3. Set terms of service so things don't get chaotic - implement a system and way of dealing with transactions. 4. Be kind and considerate to customers! Bonus tip! If your shop is near the bottom of the "projects" tab (in the studio), it will be difficult for shoppers to find. Every so often, delete it from the studio and add it again. ___ manager interviews ˊ- ⤿ If you are consistently active and are very organized, you can take a manager interview. ⤿ You must be willing to complete transactions (add/subtract points from orders) and help out around PoP.
