everybody is unique. everybody is special. why? You are made by the creator of the Universe!! He knew you before you even existed. maybe you are wondering... do I even matter? should I even be alive? should I even try? is there a point of smiling when everything is going wrong? do I have a purpose? YES!!! God is the creator of the Heavens and Earth. He created Light and Darkness. He created the skies and sea. And He chooses to love YOU. Isn't that amazing? we are all sinners. we are not perfect. When we lie, hate, steal or cheat we have missed the standard God has set. Suppose you and I were to throw a rock to the North Pole. You would probably throw further then me but neither of us would hit the mark. When the Bible says "All have sinned fall short of the glory of God" it means we have all come short of Gods standard of perfection. In thoughts, words and actions we have not been perfect. But it gets worse... Imagine you work for me and I paid you $50. That $50 is your wages. Thats what you earned. the Bible says that by sinning we have earned death. That means we deserve to die and be separated from God forever. Since there was no way we could come to God the Bible says that God came to us!!! Imagine if you are in the hospital dying of cancer, I come to you and say "Let's take the cancer cells from YOUR body and put them into MINE." If that were possible, what would happen to me? What would happen to you? I would die and you would love. I would die in your place. the Bible says Christ took the penalty that we deserved for sin and placed it on himself and died in OUR place. Three days later Christ came to life to prove that sin and death has been conquered and that his claims to be God were true. But there's more!! You can be saved through faith in Christ. faith means TRUST Q: what must you trust Christ for? A: you must depend on Him alone to forgive you and to give your eternal life. Just as you trust a chair to hold you through no effort of your own, so you must trust Jesus Christ to get you to heaven. But you may say; "I am religious" "I go to church" "I am a good person" "I help the poor" "I don't do anything really bad" But imagine if the person you love most is killed.the murderer tells the judge at court "But judge I have done good things all my life!" if the judge releases the murderer will you think that judge a good judge? doing good things is good but you cannot earn your way to heaven. you must trust Jesus Christ alone, and God will give you eternal life as a gift. is there anything keeping you from trusting Jesus now? Think carefully. There is nothing more important then your need to trust Christ. Would you like to tell God you are trusting Jesus Christ as your personal savior? If you would why not pray right now and tell God you are trusting his Son? Remember!! It is not the prayer that saves you. it is trusting Jesus that saves you. Prayer is simply how you talk to God. Dear God I know I am a sinner. I know my sin deserves to be punished. I believe Christ died for me and rose from the grave. I trust Jesus Christ as my Savior. Thank you for the forgiveness and everlasting life I now have. In Jesus's name, Amen do you have a Bible in your house? If not look up on the internet John 5:24. did you "hear" God's word? did you "believe" what God said and trust Christ as your savior? Does "has everlasting life" mean later or right now? Does it say "shall not come into judgement" or might not? does it say "has passed from death" or shall pass? eternal life is based on fact not feeling. You might be wondering what now? having trusted Christ as your only way to heaven here's how to grow in your relationship with him. tell God what is on your mind. read the Bible daily to learn about him and learn from him worship with God people at a local church tell others about Christ you have just started on the greatest adventure of your life!
