⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀––– ⋅ W E L C O M E ⋅ ––– Hey there! Welcome to Structure - Part 2 of SWC March's Starting From Scratch workshop. You should be able to use the arrow keys to navigate! Today you'll be learning about the different types of novel structure. You'll also be identifying the structures that will best support your novel during your time starting from scratch. Feel free to ask any questions you have! I'll always be here to help you out and answer them <3 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ––– ⋅ 3 / 4⠀A C T I V I T Y ⋅ ––– Using what I have taught (and, obviously, your own knowledge of the topic!), write up a detailed plan for a story, a chapter, an essay or anything that really takes your fancy. 400 words for 200 points. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀––– ⋅ N O T E S ⋅ ––– Here's the video for 08. The Hero's Journey :> https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/youtube/Hhk4N9A0oCA/ This topic is also sort of linked to a topic from last session (Planning) so if you'd like to take a look at that, here's the link! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/442745812/ This isn't the greatest workshop - it only explains /story/ structure, and it also is quite short ^^ (honestly I feel like it pales in comparison to some other awesome workshops xD) But I hope it helps you at least a little bit with planning a plot in the future! Personally, I find structure quite interesting and very important to a story - you shouldn't neglect your structure! But if you just let it unfold on it's own, that's great too <3 Follow your style, and let it take you interesting places. Good luck! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀––– ⋅ C R E D I T S ⋅ ––– Music from Purple Planet Sources: https://www.nownovel.com/blog/novel-structure-writing-tips/#:~:text=Novel%20structure:%207%20tips%20for%20structuring%20your%20book,suit%20your%20central%20idea.%20...%20More%20items... https://www.writersdigest.com/improve-my-writing/4-story-structures-that-dominate-novels
