▚▚▚▚ disclaimer. despite the many comments about me taking my leave, no, this is not about me leaving. <3 ▚▚▚▚ rant. Dr. Suess once said, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." Look, I understand what it's like to lose somebody. We lose people every day. Friends, family... Yeah, it's hard. But the most important thing is to remember that it's for the best. When a Scratcher leaves, it really is probably for the best. It's not that they don't care about the community or their friends... It's just for the better. They have lives outside the screen. They have school and IRL situations. They know you care... Some of you might even try to stop them from leaving. But think about what's best for them. A song once sang, "Sometimes, you have to lose somebody to know you really love somebody." And it's true. You have to let go... To move on. God works in mysterious ways. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. My teacher said today, "Even the end leads to something new. Sometimes, something even better." But that person never really left you. "The ones who loves us never really love us." (Sirius Black) But look, they're still in your heart, in your memories. That's better than nothing. Be glad to have known them because it won't get any better than that. Today, someone in this world lost somebody. A scratcher, a grandma, a friend... Someone.
