100 VIEWS! PLEASE CHECK YOUR CAGE MEETS THE MINIMUM SIZE FOR YOUR NUMBER OF ANIMALS! MINIMUM SIZES: Rats: Two Cubic feet PER RAT. Use this calculator: http://ratclub.org/cgi-bin/cage3.cgi Mice: 200 sq inches for 1-3 mice, 75 sq inches per every additional mouse. (I personally believe this is too small! MY minimum is a 20 gallon for 1-3 mice) Use this calculator: https://www.petmousefanciers.com/portal Hamsters: 450 sq inches for one hamster. DO NOT house more than one hamster together! Gerbils: A 20-gallon tank for a pair. I can't find a calculator, sorry, so just use the rule 10 gallons per gerbil. Guinea Pigs: 8 square feet for a pair, but the recommended is 10.5. I can't find an actual calculator so use the table in this website: https://ourguineapig.com/guinea-pig-cage-size/ Rabbits: I really do not believe rabbits should be kept in cages or hutches permanently. They can stay in them overnight but should free roam in a room/s or a large pen during the day. Ferrets: 36 x 25 x 63.25 inches as a minimum for 2-3 ferrets. (there was a lot of different information on this and this seemed the most reasonable) Sorry, I can't find a proper calculator!
PLEASE CHECK! Even if you think it's okay it may not be! At the end of the day, all we want is for our animal companions to be happy and healthy <3
