Thanks to @Peachpetal and @Shadeswirl for the awesome DTA! Shade specifically for Sunflower's and Mimos' designs (Mimos was from a previous DTA) Me for the art, story, and Nightshade's design. (She got redesgined) Long ago, a mysterious creature by the name of Nerif had infused Nightshade with spiritual powers- the ability to control nature, plants specifically, and shadows. Now no one, excluding Nightshade and Nerif themselves, really know what happened back then. But afterward, Nightshade was left on her own for decades, shaken and corrupted by her new powers. After many years, though, something strange happened. Nature strives for a balance, so as a powerful force of nature mixed with darkness, another being was created- this one mixed with light. This new spirit was drawn to Nightshade, and, once learning her counterpart's name, gave herself the name of Sunflower. Nightshade began getting extremely frustrated with Sunflower, as the winged spirit refused to leave her alone, but none of Nightshade's abilities would work on her. Sunflower just stuck around, clearly deciding to make the best of the situation and attempt friendship- of her own sort, which involved a lot of annoying Nightshade. Despite herself, Nightshade grew to respect Sunflower, even start to enjoy the overenthusiastic spirit's company. (Including finally taking the flower Sunflower kept offering) But even with the growing friendship the two started to have, there were still problems. One of them being when Nightshade had been recently attacked by a group of dragon-like creatures, and took refuge in a sacred forest, protected by another nature spirit. Nightshade's mere presence started to corrupt and poison the forest, along with the spirit inside. None of this was on purpose, but since the forest was hidden from most of the outside world, Nightshade was reluctant to leave it. Over time, though, Sunflower grew increasingly upset at the damage caused to the forest, along with the the clear problems the remaining spirit had suffered. Finally, she convinced Nightshade to leave. Before she did so, however, she created a spark of a new spirit- something to heal the forest after Nightshade and her were gone. A flower, who would become a new spirit to guard that sacred forest. So Fivel would be born. That's all their story for now, I have vague plans for more, but I have two more characters I gotta try out for first. If I have time, I'll add more pictures for Sunflower. ... Sunflower and Fivel look *really* similar I wasn't actually planning that part but Peachy pointed that out Fivel has two moms and a dad Mimos is best dad tho And Nightshade is worst mom Also I enjoy this friendship Sunflower is clingy And sass I love Pic 1.
