The objective ========================================= -The objective is to survive as long as possible and to not succumb to the oncoming army of circles. What is "Shooter thing" ========================================= -It is a sneak peak of a new shooter game I am making. But it is also a tech test because I am testing blocks I haven't used before, such as list blocks. Controls ========================================= -WASD to move, q/e to cycle through the five weapons -R to reload, X to cancel reload -Left click to fire Weapons ========================================= -The "Basic gun" is a 3-round burst weapon and has a high rate of fire and an insanely short reload time, but it has mediocre damage. -The "Cannon" is a single shot, high-damage weapon that fires explosive rounds that do high area of effect damage. But side effect of the cannon's stopping power is that it takes ages to reload and has a huge delay in between shots. -The "Minigun" is a 120 round capacity, full auto machine gun that has an absurd rate of fire and can mow down crowds of enemies. But it has low accuracy and damage. -The "Shotgun" is an 8 round weapon that fires 6 pellets on every shot, each pellet is weak, but when multiple hit an enemy (which they often do), it's essentially game over for them. The shotgun is especially great at killing weaker enemies. It has a low rate of fire and reload time, but it is still overall very powerful. -The "Smg" is a full auto submachine gun that has a high capacity, medium damage, and fast rate of fire. It is very good at wearing down the hp of stronger enemies. Enemies ========================================= -The "Circular tank" has high hp and will shoot bullets at you, one of them is weak, but together they will destroy you with ease. -The "Circle" has low hp and does not shoot bullets, but they spawn way more often than the Circular tank and will distract you for long enough for multiple tanks to spawn and destroy you.
Extra information ========================================= -This tech test took about 12 hours of coding. -The reload system took the longest to code at about 3 hours. - "Shooter thing" originally had you play as a rocket in space, but the idea was scrapped because space shooters are becoming way too generic.
