Onto the character description ;) -Bio- Name: Matt (Matteo) Age: 17 Pronouns: He/Him Height: 5'11 Likes: Nature, Exploring, Abandoned Places, Plants Dislikes: Schoolwork, Artificial light, Math, Authority Figures Personality: Quiet and stern at first, but chill and a bit of a flirt when you get to know him. Incredibly adventurous and curious but quite reckless. Doesn't like to think of the future and tends to just wing it. Backstory: From a young age, Matt was constantly pressured to get good grades, get into a good college, and raise a family. Despite the countless tutoring sessions and lectures from his parents, he never seemed to do well in school. In a household that valued academic prowess over all else, this caused him to feel useless. But, as time went on, he grew tired of the 9-5 lifestyle that awaited him after he finished school. He was adventurous at heart, and couldn't bear the thought of being confined while the whole world awaited him. Within an environment that valued tedious work over all else, Matt found peace within nature. He would often sneak out into the woods behind his house to explore. Here, he felt free. Nature was limitless as it was not bound by the laws and pressure of the human world. Matt could still remember the first abandoned building he found deep into the forest. It was a crumbling cathedral overgrown with ivy. The shattered stain glass window reflected the rays of golden sunlight and tinted the building a slight yellow. He couldn't believe his eyes- here he had discovered the beautiful ruins of a place once bustling with life. Here he was standing in a piece of history that mother nature had taken over, wrapping her arms around the crumbling stone. Matt felt a rush a pure joy, and later realized that the exploring and discovery of abandoned places was known as urban exploration (urbex for short). He was hooked. He did all he could to scout new locations to explore. As he continued, the pure rush of stumbling upon a beautiful ruin never disappeared. At times, Matt would stop at nothing to explore all he could. This often resulted in several bruises, broken bones, and less than pleasant encounters with security. His grades and relationships also began to drop as he often disappeared for days on end to explore. Nevertheless, Matt made it his life's mission to discover all the hidden gems of the world. song-the boys are too refined (the hush sound)
