NEW FEATURES · Update System: when I set the cloud variable mitUpdate to the latest version of MitOS, you'll see a message that invites you to get it or to put the new version sprite in your backpack and load it in your old version (as an installer engine). · App launcher system: when you click on the cat icon at the bottom of the home page, you can select an existing application to run. · New app names: I came up with rename them because all name like "you + name or verb" were too strange and, in some cases, maybe sounded rude -----------------------> Discover=YouSearch; Chat=YouPost; Speak=YouWorld; Settings=YouSet; Beat=YouBeat. · New apps: ladies and gentlemen, @MITOS_Company is delighted to show you Office©, a new @MITOS_Company product that includes professional apps, Math (=YouMath, a calculator) and Printer (an app to print its sprite costume on the screen; you can use it also to print uploaded photos); · new Admin Tools app, to check your Internet connection, your device performance status (inspired by the real app Performance Monitor) or know more about MitOS; · Super Mario Bros (main script by @BoltBait https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/2176968/ , inspired by @simulator-master, @Richik_is_Great and the Dev Team and their Lenau gnuOS alpha 3.4 https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/426862918/ ), not mobile-friendly (sorry); · new CD player, which can run my new CD ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/497786219/ ), like a real computer with a Virtual Machine OS----------------------> 1st way (uses the Scratch website): go to that project using the link above, put the CD sprite in your backpack and load it in the editor of this project; 2nd way (uses the Scratch 3 app): download this project, download the CD sprite (see the link above), then open a new file in the offline editor, where you can load this OS, and eventually upload the CD sprite. · New MitOS 8.0 Server integrated in this project--------> WARNING: I'm the only person who can use this Server OS, because I'm the project creator and owner; I use it in ways that don't break the Scratch Community Guidelines: only to update the data stored in the cloud variable "web" (the items available in the web browser/searching engine Discover) and run the backup of the cloud variable "chat" (the posts in the Chat app); don't try to use it, or this project will stop and crash; however I hope you'll enjoy to surf in a network of virtual machine OS, where I'm the server (using MitOS 8.0 Server) and you're the clients (using MitOS 8.0). Other features: · a powerful anti-spam bot in the Chat app, which works with a safe multiple-choice chat engine to avoid user-made, rude or unmoderate comments; · a screensaver script (you can modify the block time in the Settings app); · a bug detector (inspired by the FPS system by 's Mystic Valley ); · some alerts with sounds for web updates (update done/fail, available only for me using MitOS 8.0 Server, error, slow device sounds; all sounds gently provided by the Scratch Team, except for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 startup and shutdown sounds by the Microsoft Corporation).
