Green flag for music. Tw- ranting, racism, and minor deth. Please read all of it, if you go in the comments saying some nonsense about why I'm wrong, I'll assume you didn't read what I said unless you explicitly state where I am wrong in what I wrote. Hi- if you came here thinking that I was making a project on how I thought we shouldn't have BHM, you're wrong. If you think I'm just making a filler project on BHM to show my support for black people, you're also wrong. I'm going to explain exactly why BHM is needed, and why the people who say it's not needed is wrong. First. I've seen people say, "Oh, black people aren't discriminated against. White people are, and black people are fine." This is not true. Whenever someone tries to point out that this is not true, such as in a show where there is racial bias, something along the lines of this is said; "You don't need to bring race into everything." This goes to show exactly WHY we need BHM, because people are so eager to ignore black people. Black people are STILL discriminated to this day, and there is already enough proof that black people are discriminated against. Second. I have also heard people say, "Why isn't there a white history month, or one for all people?" Seriously? In america, all people are discriminated sometimes. But it's mostly black people. Black people get ONE MONTH, and you decide to say "Oh, we should have one for everyone else." That's not fair to the struggles black people have faced, and we celebrate BHM because black people deserve to be recognized. If you're so willing to help everyone besides black people, that's considered racist, and you're indirectly saying that black people shouldn't be recognized. There's nothing wrong with supporting people besides black. All races deserve to be equal, but if you keep making comments on how we're putting black people on a pedestal, you're wrong. Lastly. BHM isn't political. Diversity isn't political. And it shouldn't be. You're not able to control the color of your skin, just as you can't control where you're born, your sexuality or gender, or eye color. All people SHOULD be respected, INCLUDING black people. For all people to be respected, you must respect black people, and the things they create, such as house music, art styles, and what they look like. Black people are beautiful. All people are beautiful, and what we look like makes us different and beautiful in our own way. So it's not right to be racist and not say that people who deserve a month of celebration because they've been discriminated against for centuries. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk!
