After looking at some cool diversity recourses by my friend @-Add-Some-Color- (whom you should follow rn) I realized that I, too, often default to the same pale skin tones so I thought I'd practice some different ethnicities :] I hope to draw some more diverse characters in the future :D 1: Just some pretty Hijaabi lady. I hope I drew her head dress correctly ^^ 2: Orange Blossom from Strawberry Shortcake ! I loved this show, Orange is such an angel. 3: Ginger Snap, also from Strawberry Shortcake, she was my favorite character growing up. I love me an adventurer at heart. 4: (Older version of) Molly from Molly of Denali ! I've never watched the show as it's quite new and aimed at kiddos, but I've heard great things about it ! It's the first nation-wide American show to star an Alaska Native. While I myself am not native, it's cool to see some representation for my fellow Alaskans :D 5: Quackity, a beloved creator in the mcyt community ! 6: The orange vacuum herself, @-Add-Some-Color- :D 7: Nia/Silvers' OC, Add (#AnvilforAdd) (from memory, don't bully me-) 8: Miya Cech, a young actress :] she stars in one of my fav shows. As a white person of mostly European decent I'll never know what it's like to be discluded in so much of the media we see. I also don't have too much experience in drawing these ethnic groups, so please do lmk if there's something I did wrong/could be doing better when drawing more inclusive characters (but be constructive rather than condescending please) :] <3
