A weird, dark substance is overtaking your station, so they sent you to take care of it! You're only equipped with a futuristic invention called a Matter Sphere. Using the Matter Sphere, you can teleport yourself around. The sphere stores energy that is released when it shatters, so throw it at walls to teleport to them. Can you overcome the hard times and pull through?? This game was made for the QWERTY Game Jam, in which the theme was "Weird Movement". In this game, your only form of movement is a semi-awkward projectile which you have to throw around walls and such. This may all be one interconnected world, but don't worry, you get checkpoints spread throughout. If you want to get every achievement, use the "Play Again" button. The Start Flag will delete your achievements. I highly doubt you'll get all achievements in one run, although there's no conflicting achievements to my knowledge so it's possibly possible. Press R to reset if you want to speedrun or for whatever purpose.
Pixel Art made in PiskelApp by me. Sound effects made in SFXR by me. Music made in BeepBox by me. Anything else made completely in Scratch by me. New Helping Hand Mode: You how have a slower fall, and Matter Spheres won't have an arc, they just go straight. My Reflection on the Theme: I really like this one. It's pretty vague, which sounds like a bad thing, but it allows for a lot of creative freedom. This one specifically is really interesting, because by giving the restraint of "weird" movement, it unintentionally leads to some of the coolest movement. Numerous of my favorite movement options in games are kind of awkward or "weird". For example, I wouldn't call Super Mario Odyssey's Cappy abilities the most graceful, but they feel so good to execute. TL;DR It's lenient and has an effect that wasn't outright stated but is almost hard to avoid. #QWERTY Technical stuff: Time is measured in 32 frames, as that's the max framerate of Scratch. So, if you're running great, your timer will be in real-life seconds. If you're lagging, the timer won't punish you for that as the timer will run just as fast as the rest of the game. If you want absolute maximum performance, or if the stars or particles annoy you, switch from Pretty to Efficient to get rid of anything that may lag the game, namely particles and clones. This improves by about 20-30 less clones.
