This is the thunderpath. some cat has attacked her. they injured her eye and while they were gloating over their win, Dovepaw(?) took the time to dodge a car that they didn't notice until it was too late. We know she didn't kill them by her own paw or muzzle, as she doesn't have blood on her snout or paws. She didn't fight back, perhaps she didn't know how, or maybe she didn't want to. The common theory of this being her father/kin would explain this. She wouldn't want to fight back. Dovepaw wouldn't want to hurt her own kin. This is where my theory splits into two parts. Now, this part coming up could be very wrong considering idk how much about her father has been stated, but perhaps he was from another clan. Dovepaw was by the border or maybe a bit over and she was attacked by an older cat for trespassing. Her mother had told her about her father and she could only speculate that this was him. He didn't recognize her or maybe didn't even know he had half-clan kits, but after he had wounded her eye, Dovepaw shot into a bush to hide from a twoleg monster while her dad took the time to pursue her in a rage instead of dodging the vehicle, which hit him. After her father's death, she crawled back out to look at him, shocked. She told her clan and her mother was furious with her and boulderpatch hated her because his mother did, too. Now for the second idea, it's a random cat. Same shenanigans occur, the cat ends up dead. But this time, her mother hates her not for killing one of her mates, but for being a 'bad omen'. She considers her kit a curse for what she'd done and boulderpatch believed it too. But her clan understands it was an accident and that she was attacked and it wasn't her fault. Some of them still regard her with caution, however. Maybe softfur was right. Even just a bit. Tell me if I'm close to right!
