Hi, so this is a small rant/coming out thing. Everyone who has looked at my profile knows I use they/them pronouns, but I haven't publicly announced another set of pronouns I use. I also use the neopronouns void/voidself. I didn't want to announce this for a while, as I know there are people against neopronouns even in the trans community. As a neopronoun user, I'm going to explain why neopronouns are not harmful to the community. First, I would like to state that pronouns and gender are made up. ANYTHING can be a pronoun. With that said, I'll get on to my next reason. I am neurodivergent. I use neopronouns as a way to express myself. Some people may argue, "well, I'm neurodivergent and don't understand how to use those pronouns." that's okay! In my case, I also use they/them pronouns, so you can refer to me with those :) In the case of people who only use neopronouns, just don't refer to them or use their name when talking about them. If you are confused, I'll explain how to use my neopronouns! Instead of: "I saw Glitch walk past me in the hall the other day. They bumped into me and dropped their books, so I offered to help them. They said it was okay and picked their books up themself." You would say: "I saw Glitch walk past me in the hall the other day. Void bumped into me and dropped voids books, so I offered to help void. Void said it was okay and picked voids books up by voidself." If you want to learn how to use any other set of neopronouns, let me know :)
