hi! <33 ☆ || quick status: 2/23 parts are open, backups are always open, thumbnail entries are always open! :D || There’s no special occasion- but I wanted to host a comfort map,, because I feel like we all need some comfort with everything that’s going on in the world right now. The pandemic has created a lot of stress for people, and we need some comfort during times like this <3 I’m going to explain everything about this map. This is very important, so please pay attention! Also, if you have any questions after you read all of this, feel free to ask :D As you know, this is a comfort map, so please make it comforting! I would prefer fairly experienced animators, but beginners are allowed too! Also, you can use AMV or PMV styles, both of them are absolutely fine :D,, You’ll be animating to one of my favorite songs, the Velocity of Love by Suzanne Ciani. It’s piano and there aren’t any words (I just had to slip this in here somewhere- the actual code word is “peace”! Hide it well :)) My mom and I listen to this song together, and it really means a lot to me. I’d prefer if you didn’t make your part edgy/sad/extremely depressing. You can vent, but make it comforting/happy. My fish is sick at the moment,, so if I were to make a part, it would probably be him and I flying through the sky, happy. Kind of like getting away from all the bad things, and escaping. Another idea: If your family is really close, and you want to show your love for them, you can do that too! You can maybe show yourself spending time with your cat in the deep ocean, or you and your grandma soaring through the air having fun! This brings me to my next point! I’d prefer if you made it non-realistic,, for example: people flying through the air, rats that can talk, aquatic cats, etc! Though you don’t have to do that if your part doesn’t really fit the non-realistic type. There is a palette too- you’ll find it inside under the sprite labeled “palette”! Please follow the palette as best as you can- I can’t stress this enough. I would really feel bad if I had to make you re-do your part, so please do it right the first time!! I’m just going to clarify some things (though this should go without saying), please don’t steal/trace/heavily reference art! Anything to do with art theft that I didn’t list is strictly prohibited as well. Please follow this rule, or you will not be allowed to participate in ANY future events held by me. I want to see YOUR art/animating! Also- try to make the coding relatively simple- this is my first map alright? xD,, so i’d prefer if you didn’t use forever blocks or clones if you don’t know how to use them properly. If you’re an experienced animator and would like to use them, go right ahead! Another thing, this map would be a great excuse to use some of your comfort OCs, I would love to see them!! :D In order to receive a part, you’ll have to fill out this form exactly as I show it! If you’re a friend/mutual/inspo, and I know your animations/art, then you can just say so and skip the “animation/art examples” section! (If I don’t know who you are and you try to bypass the “animation/art examples” section, i’ll ask you to show links like everyone else) A few more things before I go onto the form. I would love to get this map done!! Please please please don’t take a part if you know you won’t finish it! You get two weeks to complete the part, if you share a WIP you get another week. Also, if you want to be a backup, you still have to fill out the form as if you were taking an actual part. You don’t have to ask to enter for thumbnail, though! Also- parts/backups/and thumbnail entries MUST be remixed- it makes everything much easier. <3 Alright, here’s the form!
