Hold tight gang, this is what we have been searching for. Year after year. This is the gate. Could we do it? No, push out all regrets and bad feelings. I looked at my 3 person team. There was me, Timmothy, and Pena. Were we going through with this? Yes, we were going. I saw them nod. The gate was swirling with black mist. Like a void. All our adventures. All the suffering, the making fun of. All it was over. We were about to push into the rip in existence. The hole of Earth and space. Just below these cave's opening. Hidden in another cave. We searched far and wide. Just the three of us. We took a step back. Pena was crying. I looked back at them both. She wiped her eyes and gave the signal. We all took a leap into the cave hole. The void was hidden deeper into it. I felt my body growing lighter and lighter. This must be the void's gravity. I heard them start screaming. Both of them were holding each other. I held onto myself. As it got closer and closer, I remembered things I normally had a problem remembering. All these memories, so little time. As I hit the voids entrance, I felt myself getting a burning sensation. The void was black. Empty. No going back now. I saw them come in after me. Both of them looked cold, frozen in fact. I gave them silent prayers and thank yous. They had helped me get to my goal. I showed all of those nonbelievers. I kept floating in space. Breathing and somehow still alive. I looked down at my body. It was still there. All feeling was gone. I look up. Nothing. I was floating. Endlessly, stuck in a fabric of space and reality. Like some barrier. I couldn't control my movement. I had nothing to do but sit. For eternity. Whether this was a punishment I don't know. Even the bodies of my friends were gone. Sitting in nothingness, breathing nothingness. This was my home. For now and forever.
