Might add a backstory or bio later idk. I’m not much of a writer- (Press space or tap for a life-saving tip xD) I didn’t use layers for years and I regret everything. Everything.
ADDED BIO: —————— Name: Rae Gender: Male Species: Cat Age: (Undecided :l) Backstory: Rae still remembers the day he started his new life. That short time seemed to hold years of memory, fear, and wonder. He wished he could go back to his family... but Rae knows he holds a responsibility far, far greater than he could have ever earned at home. - Laughing and giggling, Rae and his sister raced around the place they now called home. It seemed like only yesterday they were left in a cold, dark corner by the road. Rae only wishes to recall large hands scooping him and his sister up tenderly. “Hah,” Rae’s sister declared proudly as she jumped out of his reach. “Can’t tag me now!” “Oh yeah? I can get higher than you!” Rae scrambled up the back of the couch. A shout from a room down the hall sent him sliding back off. Rae’s humans disliked the fact he tore up the couch as he climbed up. His sister seemed to do everything wrong. It was unfair. Why should he be yelled at? Rae sat down with a pout. “Come ON,” His sister plopped down beside him. “You don’t have to climb- jump!!” Rae watched as her sleek, brown body soared on top of the couch. With a determined look, he joined her. Proud, he sat down next to her. “ ‘Hah,’ ” Rae mimicked his sister. “ ‘Can’t tag me now!’ See, I can jump better! Watch this,” Rae crouched on the arm and looked up at the tall shelf on the wall. “Rae, wait,” His sister jumped up next to him. “The ‘good-china-bowl’. The humans won’t forgive you if you break it...” she whispered. Rae sniffed at her. “I won’t break it.” Ignoring her second plea, he took the leap. As he landed next to the bowl, the shelf creaked. “See? I can be car-“ Before he could finish, the shelf gave way under Rae’s weight. Everything seemed to slow down as he fell. Rae’s sister scrambled off down the hall. He couldn’t help but stare at the rapidly approaching ground. And then he landed with a crash of the bowl. Shards flew. Silence answered. Suddenly an uproar echoed down the hall. The human and his partner dashed in, ignoring the bleeding cat on the ground. Rae mewled pitifully. A shard had cut his eye as the bowl hit the ground. His paws were equally cut. To his horror he felt hands grab him by his scruff and throw him out of the door. A soft sob echoed behind him as the door shut. Weakly, Rae rose to his feet. He couldn’t see through one of his eyes. He heard his sister scratching at the hard wooden door, trying to get to him. Rae watched with woe as his sister was carried into the room down the hall. Hopeless, Rae turned away and started into the woods behind the house. Dark clouds were rolling in off in the distance. Finding a nice, hollow stump, he drifted off to sleep crying. - A crack like gunfire startled Rae awake. The sky lit up with lightning and rain poured from the clouds. Frightened, Rae backed deeper into the dark wood. Suddenly, as if the sky split apart, lightning seared through the air and struck the ground, not far away. Ears ringing painfully, Rae peered outside to see what would be left after the lightning. To his surprise (and slight horror) a CAT stood exactly where the bolt had struck. It turned towards him, eyes aglow. Rae wanted to do nothing but run. But an unseen force beckoned him to the strange cat. He took one, slow, uncertain step at a time until he was only a few feet from the cat. “What are you doing alone in a storm little one?” the cat questioned unexpectedly. It was apparently a she. “I- I was thrown out... Who- who are you?” Rae asked uncertainly. Upon closer examination, he noticed the cat was see-through, like fog. Rae was answered with a chuckle. “I am nothing but a lost soul now. I came to you for a reason... Would you wish to inherit my gift and start a new life?” - Rae smiled as he recalled this event. He had been tasked with spreading light through the world as a guardian of light. He’d never forget the encounter. Justice had lead him to a great mercy. Rae stood with a deep breath. He still had a duty to accomplish... and he wasn’t looking back. ———— Wow my finger just might fall off.
