The Pokemon on the front is a Flareon called flame who is a guardian along with shira,Rose,Moon and Sparky, Flame is the only guardian who is afraid of water. credit to @TropicalSkiez for helping create the story of flame and the other pokemon guardians. The fire represents the time he ran into a burning building to save two pokemon when he was an eevee and him being a flareon represents him and the other guardians fighting Yveltal which is where he evolved into a flareon.
