Dappled (SUFFIX) Female 52 moons WindClan Senior Warrior <--- Somehow even THINNER than the average WindClan warrior. Sleek fur. (She's a mix between a Bombay, Russian blue, and tortoiseshell.) VERY loyal to her clan, but often becomes EXTREMELY close to warriors of other clans, often to the point of suspicion from her clanmates. She blames herself for every negativity that happens to those she cares about, even if she had nothing to do with it. She is also highly trusting, believing anything that a clanmate asks of her to be for a good reason. Dappie helps all those she can, once even offering to take care of four different apprentices. Lesbean 6 out of ten? Eh, it depends on whether or not my parents decide to hate me again-- Hidden in backstory Bear. Bearstrength had been determined to become ThunderClan's leader. Bearstar. Bearstrength and Dappled were friends. Close friends. Not only was WindClan suspicious of Dap, again, but ThunderClan was uneasy over Bearstrength. So Bearstrength had a plan. Dap was extremely naive to Bear, and didn't question the sudden tips on climbing trees that her friend granted her. Dappled didn't question the sudden meeting a FourTrees, either. Bearstrength and Dappled met up that night and climbed up the trees. They talked for a while. And then they sat next to each other. Up in the canopy. Starring at the skies. Bearstrength nodded towards the skies and sighed, "I know that because of this, you'll be up there. And I'll be in the exact opposite place. But if that's what it takes to bring my clan back to its former glory, then I'll do what I must." Dappled turned towards her friend. Someone she trusted with her life. "What?" she asked, feeling pressure on her back. The WindClan warrior thought it was just a swaying tree branch or Bearstrength's tail. "I'm sorry, Dappled. I will make sure that your loss was not in vain." Dappled realized then. That wasn't a tree branch. That wasn't a tail. It was a paw. BEARSTRENGTH'S paw. As the pressure strengthened, Dappled's eyes widened, fear and adrenaline and grief pumping through her veins and arteries. Then, she was falling. LAND. PLEASE. I'M GOING TO DIE! Dappled couldn't find the words. Couldn't find her voice. Couldn't find herself. And then... She felt pressure. Not the pressure of gravity. Not the pressure of Bearstrength's paws. The pressure of her skin pressing against her throat. The tug of someone pulling her back up. Her anchor. Her savior. "It's okay, Dappled," Kingpride whispered, "We followed you here. We knew something wasn't right. The others are getting Bearstrength now." Dappled looked around, wailing incoherently, "I-I was... She-- I didn't... I should've--" Kingpride dropped Dappled on the branch and looked her in the eyes. "It's okay. You're okay. You're safe." Safe. Safe... Safe! SAFE! Dappled woke up the next day in the medicine cats den. "Where..." she couldn't speak. It hurt. It hurt too much. She couldn't bear the acid rising in her throat. "Hey, Dappled," Kingpride mumbled, "It's been a day since then..." "D-Day?!" Kingpride nodded, sighing, "Every time you woke up, you'd start screaming, so we just kept you out with poppy seeds as we fixed the situation." "Sorry...." the worried she-cat mumbled, her thoughts and heart still racing. Her friend shook his head, "Don't be. You had no idea what was happening. But, regardless, you still helped us catch Bearstrength." "B-Bearstrength okay?" Kingpride bit his tongue, unsure of what to tell Dappled. "Bearstrength was banished. She broke the warrior code. She tried to kill someone who had never harmed her. And ThunderClan just told us that they found out Bearstrength had tried to take their leader's last life." Dappled had no idea what to say. No idea how to say anything. Her friend had tried to murder her and another cat. The only reason she was alive was because her clan had saved her. Dappled was still walking... breathing... seeing... hearing... ...loving... And it was all thanks to WindClan. The people who'd cared for her all her life. Now, it was time to return the favor. She couldn't save them all. She couldn't protect them from everything. But she had to try. She was already loyal. But now? Now she was willing to do anything for her clanmates.
