Hallo people UwU. This is my original character, Shiro, who is a prototype Malhound/Glitchhound. If you want more info on the species, don't hesitate to ask! Story: Shiro padded through the forest with light paws, his mate, Mina, following close behind with their pup in her jaws. They had just been banished from the Hollow Pack for failing the ranking ceremony and Shiro still had wounds from his opponents sharp teeth. He shook his head to clear away the negative thoughts as he hopped over a fallen tree, but immediately after he landed, a metal trap slammed shut on his back leg, it's teeth digging into his flesh. Shiro let out a screech of pain as he fell onto his side, writhing around violently to try and free himself. While he was struggling desperately for his life, he saw two dark figures move from the shadows over him, mumbling in their foreign tongue. He heard his mate's pawsteps fading into the distance as she retreated with their pup, and he soon realized there was no way out. Shiro snapped at the humans' paws as they reached out to grab him, but this did nothing to deter them. Instead, one went to their metal creature and pulled a large cage out of its rear, dragging it over. The second human grabbed Shiro from behind his neck and forced him into the cage, removing the trap before shutting and locking the door. He squirmed and clawed at the shiny mesh, barking curses at the humans as they put him into their monster and closed him inside. Soon after, they started moving. Shiro could feel the bumping of the monster as it ran along its blackened path. After what felt like an eternity, he was taken out of the monster's rear. Thinking he was about to be let out, Shiro prepared himself to run. But when the cage opened, he instead fell into a large clear tank filled with some sort of slimy blue liquid. It stuck to his fur and dragged him down, filling his nose, mouth and ears as he attempted to call out for help. But nobody came. The world around him began to fade, and he felt his struggles slow. Was this the end? Suddenly, Shiro felt air fill his lungs, and he quickly opened his eyes, yelping slightly and squinting his eyes to shield them from the bright white light. As he surveyed the room. he realized he was on a smooth elevated surface. He had heard dogs talk of these places. They had called these "vets". But this was no vet. There were machines holding him down and sticking into his body, and there were long tubes in his neck, rear, and stomach all connected as well. 'What... is this?' Shiro thought to himself. Not long after the "vet" stepped in, going over and reaching out to touch him, only to recoil as the wolf snapped at him. The human shook its head and stuck a thin needle into Shiro's side, sending him to sleep once more. It had been years since Shiro had seen the outside world. These humans had been torturing him and experimenting for years, and he was tired of it. Shiro used his newfound ability to sprout wings before he moved to the back of his tank, putting his paws onto the glass before pushing off with all of his strength and bursting through the clear stone that had kept him inside his prison. The humans that had been watching over him quickly ran out of the room, and soon a loud noise started to blare throughout the building, red lights flashing in sync with the sound. Shiro quickly bolted out of the room and raced down the hallway. He heard loud bangs from the humans' metal weapons, and he felt one of their projectiles graze his ear, but he kept going, following the smell of outside to guide his path. Suddenly, he encountered one of the human's gates, but the smell of freedom was just behind it. Shiro quickly backed up, and, knowing there was nowhere else to go, rammed into the door, his new power sending it flying open. Shiro took one last look behind him before bounding outside and spreading his wings, leaping off the side of the cliff and taking off. As Shiro basked in the sun's warmth and the feeling of the cool breeze, he knew exactly what he must do next. Find his mate and son. No matter the cost.
