Just Watch
I saw this project by @-rein-https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/282072771/ and wanted to try creating something similar with bees. This swarm is intelligent, the bees search for flowers and tell the others, if they found a good fodder source. The flowers only have limited nectar, they'll disappear and spawn a new flower if they're empty. A single bee can collect up to 5 nectar. It always flies to the flower with the most nectar. If the bees have collected 5, they begin to aim at the beehive. Arrived there, at first, they feed their queen. If the queen's got enough food, it lays eggs. These eggs are now a list item of the honeycomb list. After feeding the queen, the bees distribute their remaining nectar among the honeycombs. If an egg gets too little food it dies. If it's fed enough, it hatches and becomes a new bee. The bees have a limited lifespan of about one minute. Switch to turbo mode (shift+flag) to see the population explode. The swarm stops growing at about 150-200 bees, on average. Wow! Congrats! You've just read this long text of almost 200 words! Thanks and enjoy the project!
