Storyline Valerie is the Guardian of the Skies. Midnight is her loyal companion. Midnight has the eyes of the blue sky and the pelt of the stary night skies. Ayla is the Guardian of the Moon. She has stolen the Dagger of the Sun from Kai, the Guardian of the sun, hoping to use its light to brighten the moon. Valerie is worried that this will unbalance the day and night cycle. Midnight has to take it back to Kai and rebalance the cycle.
