A demo of time travel (100% pixelated) game made by @sbre2701, the full game will be out as soon as I can make it come out. This demonstration still has a couple of things I need to do, but I shared it anyway. instructions: - arrow keys or WASD to move - hold F to go back in time using time energy (which restores over time) - hold down space to drain energy, and then to release all of it after you let go of space (you can also do a quicker tap to release less energy and deal less damage, these smaller shots can be aimed) This game automatically stops if there is too much lag (you can see your fps, frames per second, in the top right corner). If this lags please play it here (in turbowarp): https://turbowarp.org/496543807?interpolate&clones=Infinity MONSTERS: Slimes: These slimes are the gray little monsters that dance a lot, they don't do a lot of damage but are very mobile. Tip: once you kill the first one from the spawner go over to the spawner and start shooting right at the bottom corner of it, this will kill any slimes that come out and will kill the spawner eventually. Another tip: USE TIME TRAVEL TO YOUR ADVANTAGE. if you plan time travel you can get behind the slimes. Spawners: These monsters spawn other monsters and have lots of health, but they can not move. Tip: kill the monsters they spawn and then walk back in time to get the next, it should be much easier to kill them from there. Banana bird: these birds fly into the sky looking for you, and then drop to the ground, once they are near you they shoot things that deal lots of damage. These birds are very slow. Tip: once they have dropped down, don't move far away from them and attack them, to dodge their ammo you might want to jump a lot. Time travel also works well for them if you plan it. Water snail: water snails are always found in groups with other monsters. They move very slow and have lots of health (they are huge! like three spawners stacked next to each other). They also drop water bombs which explode after a little while (the damage of these water bombs does not scale over levels). Tip: stay away from the water bombs! the water bombs deal huge amounts of damage and the snails are basically harmless otherwise (they do protect other monsters though). WARNING: water snails create a lot of lag, I will be working on that. comment your favorite monster please! My favorite monster is the Banana Bird
DISCLAMER: this is just a demonstration of how the game-play will be in the final game. The first part will be waves of spawners spawning these monsters (and more) in the final game (after that it will mainly be puzzles). ------------------------------Credits--------------------------------- Thank you to all who helped me in the making of this demo. Some code or inspiration from scratchers: @Lknu2701 (code) @Butteredtoast9 (ideas for code) @TheCHAOTIC (inspiration) @mathmathmath (inspiration) @Griffpatch (code) The monsters engine has code borrowed from @griffpatch's platformer engine code, the AI part is by me. Contest: @ReloadedUser's game contest. The theme was explosions and there are explosions in this game.
