I highly encourage you to read to the end, because there's a LOT of useful info here (in my opinion, that is), even for those with more writing experience. These tips were all the ones I could think of during the past few days, so feel free to suggest any new ones for me to include in a possible Part 2 project! I've only learned some of these tips this/last year myself, so I also in the process of incorporating these tips into my own writing. I also know that many of you might think that you're a long way from becoming a published author. And you're right. But just because there's a long way to go doesn't mean that you won't reach it. I can also safely tell you that it's NOT as scary as it sounds. To get into a nice publishing company, you're likely going to need a literary agent and an editor. Now, from what I've seen, you're going to have to send the agent a small portion of your work, because if they're not invested in your work, they're not going to help you. And so, I wrote these tips to help you get those agents on your side! ˜”*°•.˜”*°• ᖇEᗩᗪ •°*”˜.•°*”˜˜”*°•.˜”*°• ᖇEᗩᗪ •°*”˜.•°*”˜ NOTE: These tips are NOT set in stone, meaning that not following them doesn't mean you're not going to get published. Don't be too strict on yourself. :) Aaand I know some are going to say "Well, I don't think this/that tip is true." And that's exactly what I mean---these tips come from my own experiences, what I've read, and what I've learned. Some mistakes, like spelling errors, must be ALWAYS avoided, while some other tips are optional and might just better your writing. ANOTHER NOTE: I wouldn't be THAT surprised if I had writing mistakes in this project myself, and that's just another reminder that none of us are perfect. Feel free to point out any mistakes in this "mistakes" project! :D So...just click this through and enjoy! ˜”*°•.˜”*°• ᖇEᗩᗪ •°*”˜.•°*”˜˜”*°•.˜”*°• ᖇEᗩᗪ •°*”˜.•°*”˜ 70+ costumes...
Note here in 2023: 1) I believe that (at least recently), "alright" isn't viewed as incorrect anymore. 2) I should probably put this one in a "Part 2" but...part of being a writer is knowing WHEN to break grammar/syntax rules. The difference between a beginner writer and an experience one is that the latter knows when and why to break a (technical) rule (as in, it's deliberate). There may be some point in your writing that you believe it's time to break some of these rules. So, go ahead. Just make sure you're being intentional. Most writing tips by me, though some were ones I've read in fiction writing books. Lie vs. Lay: https://www.grammarly.com/blog/lay-lie/ Cover and background by me via Canva.
