Welcome to The Typist! This is a typing game where you can choose from three difficulties and you can choose your host. If this is your first time, please follow the guidance of instructions below. First, the title screen displays. After, the start button will appear. Click it and it will lead you to the difficulty selection. When you are at the difficulty selection, three buttons will appear. Each of them have a different level of typing. Beginner: This mode will establish development to the ones with little or no skill. This mode generates a one-way system - the whole alphabet, some numbers lined up and the standard key arrangement on a keyboard. Good for practicing. Intermediate: If you have some skill, you'll be able to enter this level. Slightly harder, as random letters and vowels are generated here. This level has a 1-minute timer, so be sure to get many typing done as soon as possible! Expert: Advanced typists. This level will generate both letters and numbers swapping each time. Remember the pattern - letters, numbers, letters, numbers. This level also includes a 1-minute timer. If you have managed to reach this level, well done! After you pick the selection of difficulty, you will be led to the host selection. There are five options to choose from; Gumball, Mario, Hat Kid, Cuphead or just by yourself. There are other buttons in the host menu. You will also see a music button pop up. Click it to mute the music, and click it again to unmute. There will also be a back button. Click it to go back to the difficulty selection. If you have selected a host you would like, the game will prepare to start. Firstly, there will be loading (basically the looped music has to stop to switch to another one). After the loading, the host (if you have one) will do their opening speech before the game starts. After that, you will notice a countdown before it begins. The countdown features a '3, 2, 1, go' input with three yellow lights each for the seconds and all turn green when on go. The game starts and you must type in the correct figure as shown by a speech bubble at the top of screen. If you get one right, you will gain 1 point. But if you get one wrong, you will drop 1 point and your host will express with disappointment. You will also notice that there will be a red flash of the countdown display if you get one wrong. Your host will react positively when you have successfully typed a line of the speech bubble. In beginner mode, you will finish after typing 60 letters. For intermediate and expert, you will finish when the timer reaches 0. After you finish, the green lights stop illuminating. The music also stops and you will not be able to insert any more figures until the next game. The star rating shows, depending on how many points you have gained each game. The rating requires more points as the difficulty is harder. Bronze (1 star): You attempted to type and could do better next time. Silver (2 stars): You have done a great job! Try aiming for three stars now. Gold (3 stars): You have achieved a lot of points! You are progressing really fast! The host will also react depending on your star rating. Then, you will see a 'back to menu' button. Click it to get back to the menu of choosing the difficulty and host. After clicking it, your points from each game will be exchanged and added to the total. Before choosing your host, there are some limitations. Apart from no host, which is free: Gumball - 10 points Mario - 100 points Hat Kid - 500 points Cuphead - 1250 points If you have enough points, you will be able to unlock the host. Thank you for reading. There might be new updates coming soon! Please enjoy this typing game!
