Characters: (in order of appearance) Dad (no name yet ) Mom (no name yet) Bracken (brother) Meltdown (Mel) (Sister) Ash (brother) bunny Dawn Coral Sunny Lunar Cal Song: Laughing at God by Regina Spektor This is about Meltdowns backstory and how it all blends in Mel came from a family that mostly lived in the forest. Everything was pretty much perfect, even though they struggled with finding food at times, except for when their father started losing his temper a lot easier. One winter he got so angry at Ash because he couldn't enough food for everyone that he actually beat him. Mel healed him up but never trusted her father after that. She got angry at her other brother Bracken though, because he had sided with their father. This had started a feud between them that lasted the rest of their lives. One day they were all sent to go look for food all together in a group. There was a flash flood while they were in part of the city, that wiped out parts of the forest and caused damage to a near by factory. One of the houses had a window left open, that Mel and Bracken were able to easily jump up to, but since their father's beating, Ash's leg was still messed up and even though they tried to help him, he was swept away by the churning water. Once the flood was over, they headed back home, but found that their parents hadn't been ready for the flood, and suffered the same fate as their brother. After that they split up and went their separate ways. Soon after the flood, the factory that was damaged blew up. Toxins went everywhere. Mel had no choice but to drink from the infected waters or possibly die from dehydration, but where as for most animals, it would make you go insane and deform your whole appearance, but all that happened for her was how she looked. Instead of a strange light blue and brown, her fur became green-ish teal, yellow, and green. Her brother however was not so lucky. He wasn't really deformed, just fur changes, but his mind had become much more feral. Mel----- "Things were bad but simple then, weren't they?" I say to myself to pass the time. I've been wandering for over an hour, looking for a new stream, farther away from the cite. These chemicals were bad, and even though they hadn't really hurt me, I didn't want to take my chances. Suddenly I hear branches breaking, along with snarls, and other noises that suggest another one of those poor infected cats is really close. I consider running from it, but then I realize that it is already fighting something......someone...? I quietly stalk closer to the noise until I come up to........oh god.......wha-wha-why?..... Its my brother. Bracken. He wasn't deformed but......in his head he is just like those other monsters......He's cornered a small black kit. She's young. Unbearably young. I consider helping her but even before, Bracken was always the strongest out of all of us...Dad was so proud. Me or Ash never stood a chance, and now that he's fulled by chemicals and brain damage, he has no limits. There's no way I could help. We would both just end up dead. I tear my eyes away as he stalks he closer and closer and run as far as my legs will carry me. In thirty minutes of running like this, I'm back where I started a hour and a half ago. I turn to a different direction, and start off again trying hard to forget what I just saw. HEY GUYS, IF YOU MADE IT DOWN TO HERE, GOOD JOB! Comment : purple sweaters if you read this, idk, just a little test. I want to know if anyone's actually reading these or if I should just stop. It's almost midnight and I kinda want to know if i'm wasting my time! Okie, you must be tired of me yapping off your ears now, so I'm going to go! Bye!
