This is a simple Scratch program to model an epidemic. A well cat is orange, an ill cat is green, and a recovered, immune cat is blue. Adjust the sliders to see how quickly the epidemic spreads if there are more cats, they move around more, or the illness lasts longer.
This is a simplified version of another project I made. It shows how Scratch's simple colour sensing can be used to create a very organic and complex visualisation. The code is designed to be understandable at upper KS2. The background is Hampstead Heath.
