????? ??? ??/??/?? Ty for @blackandwhitecat for the daily (pacing workshop) Here are my fast and slow paced writings: 1) Fight Scene She grabbed her weapon, sprinting as fast as she could while holding a sword made of enough parrot plumes that could make her fly if she wanted them too. No matter how hard she tried, she had no clue what kind of parrot feathers would be a match against a crystal sword. From what she had heard, crystal swords used a strength, which only one other sword would break; and knew that wouldn’t be her sword. She lunged at him, with all her strength, and ‘stabbed’ him in the back. It wasn’t really stabbing, more ‘tickling.’ ‘‘Ha, you think that pathetic sword is going to beat me?’’ His laughter made her face red with anger, her eyes narrow down, her hands curl to fists, and her sword to be plunged into his heart. And with a thump, he fell on the ground, golden blood pooling around him. The truth was, the only sword that could beat him, was a sword with a someone who believes in themselves holding it. 2) Exploration Scene She looked around her, at the blank box that populated the space she was in. Many birds flew over to her and perched all over her body. They chirped happily until one exclaimed, ‘‘Oh bother, why can’t we just say words to ‘er?!’’ She gave a puzzled look to it before running over to an area that smelt like doughnuts. Another bird said, ‘’Ugh, Eli, why do you have to spoil things, it’s obvious that she’s never been here!’’ All of a sudden, birds flew everywhere chirping madly. Feathers fell. Fights unloaded. She backed away nervously. ‘Where am I?’ She wondered. At least she had space to daydream, and explore.
