Prologue Water enveloped her at all sides. The sun strained to reach the bottom of the lake, where she was floating. She looked around, then glanced up. 'Where is he?' she thought, annoyed. A shadow passed nearby. Then a fish zoomed past, startling her. "Stupid fish..." she muttered, bubbles floating from her mouth. She sighed, and swam back up to the surface of the lake that she called home. She was apart of an aquatic race of humans, ones that could breathe both above and underwater. A spray of water shot up as she leaped out of the lake and onto the shore, startling the boy sitting on it's edge. "Oh, there you are. I thought you had wandered off." The boy shrugged his shoulders and glanced back up at the sky. Two winged figures were flying above, almost as if dancing. "Ah, I see. Some of the fliers caught your attention," she looked up, then back down at her friend. Out of nowhere, another winged figure joined them. A laugh came from one of the females. "The fliers always fascinated me. I mean, how did they grow those wings?" "You always are fascinated with everything, Luke," she laughed, rolling her eyes. "Whatever..."
Sky Sights is an original novel idea made by me. It literally came from a dream I had last night. The art for the thumbnail is mine. Please be patient for the next chapter.
