ShErmAn M4 Sherman: The M4 Sherman was Americas trademark medium tank of WWII. Many variants of the M4 were made, including heavy tank versions such as the M6A1 and the M4A2E3 Sherman Jumbo. This particular variant, the M4A2 (76), was a jump in fire power for the Sherman tank. Unlike the normal M4A2 with the short 75mm barrel, the M4A2 (76) had the new long 76mm barrel. Some of these M4A2's received the muzzle break on the tip of the barrel that made the gun stronger against heavier armor (which made the Sherman a match for the feared Tiger 1 tank). One such tank was the M4A3E8 Sherman "Fury". The tank "Fury" itself wasn't a real tank, it was actually based off the Sherman tank "Easy Eight," which was a real tank. Both tanks, real and fake, received muzzle brakes on their barrels. The Soviets also used the Sherman tank along side with their T-34s. The Sherman as a whole also holds crown to the most produced tank of WWII.
