She is the most skilled fighter in the junior protectors. She doesn’t know why anyone is allowed to eat the fruit, but she soon knows why in this short story I put below! ｓｈｏｒｔ ｓｔｏｒｙ: Tao and Lilly sat huddled around the largest tree in the garden, marveling a luscious golden apple with red streaks that seemed to look like flowers. The smell of the apple was delectable. Tao and Lilly always had wanted to eat a fruit, but it was against the rules, and now was their golden opportunity. “Make sure to get rid of the core too,” Tao said uneasily, looking around for other people, afraid they would spot them. “Alright, just let me eat it already okay?” Lilly said. Greed came into her amber eyes. She bit into the apple’s golden skin, clear, sweet juice dripping down her paw. Lilly froze, as if time stopped, then and there. Her eyes began to turn black, like ink soaking into a crisp, white paper. “Hey, Lilly..” Tao was afraid and panicking, what happened? Would her friend die? Lilly’s fur was turning a gray and her hands were cold. If Tao didn’t do anything than Lilly would die. But if she alerted the healers, then she would get in trouble and possibly lose her job, but she didn’t want to lose Lilly either. Tao’s hands were shaking now. Her friend suddenly dropped dead, and Tao knew she was far too late. The fruit grown in the garden, she realized, was all poison. Tears pricked at her eyes, how was she going to tell anyone? Why were poisonous fruits being grown? Tears flowed down her cheeks, and onto the green grass.
