Just by running this, you & your computer are instantly helping the rest of the world calculate a true value for Pi. Devices all over the world can run this (Turbo Mode works best, billions of times faster) at the same time. The program works by dropping a digital "stick" on "tiles" of the same width. By diving the number of times the stick is dropped (x2), by the number of time the stick touches the tiles, you get a rough value of π. But the more times WE do it, the more accurate it will be.
