free :: chapter one :: so alone by :: Hazel the Nut I sat there alone under the willow tree by the lake, my little sister caressed in my arms. I never had the intention of becoming both the mother and sister to my 1 year old sister. We sat under the tree with her name, Willow. My mother had been diagnosed with cancer just days after Willow was born. She died a few months later to her cancer, it was in the brain. Sometimes I go back in my memories, see my mother standing there telling use she was pregnant with Willow. Sometimes I wish I wouldn't take a step forward and then look 2 steps back at the past. I caressed my little sister in my arms. My Willow, I thought. I had barely been able to feed myself. Luckily people had notice us and there were those people who would come by daily to bring me a small bowl of pasta and a bottle of milk for Willow. I loved those people, especially Gracie, she may be only 16 but sometimes she would put us in the backseat of her car and take us shopping for a set of cloths that was newer and less dirty and ragged. I always wonder if when she's 18 if she'd move out of her mom's house into a house of her own and let us live with her. That would be fun. Gracie's 17th birthday was just a week away, and I wanted to give her something special to thank her with how much she's helped us. She's the one who said she thought sleeping under the Willow tree would be the best option for us. And it was. We'd pull down the long strands of leaves off the tree and onto the ground and made them into a nest, Willow has a half separate one so that I don't squish her by rolling over onto her during the night. continued in the notes and credits box.
continued from the instructions box. I wish my mom were still alive, my father divorced my mom before Willow was born, they never got to see each other. I have brown hair with my mom's natural red highlights and hazel eyes, my sister, Willow, on the other hand, has honey blonde hair and piercing green eyes I am almost exactly the same in looks as my mother. And my sister, no one knows how she has the honey blonde hair and green eyes. Green eyes have never been seen in my family, nor honey blonde hair. But I'm fine with I, as our cute looks attract people saying 'where's your mom sweetie?' I always have to reply with a 'dead in the ground' they always get a sad look, but it's the truth. Present day :: A lady walks up. I'd never seen her before but then I see Gracie running up to us and then standing next to the lady. "This is my mom," Gracie said. Gracie looks at her mother "Mom, this is Hazel and Willow, the girls who their mother is dead, and father divorced the mother before Willow was born.'' Gracie told her mom slowly. "Oh, are you the ones Gracie's been using her allowance to by cloths for? I nod my head slowly "yes, uhh, what should I call you?-'' I asked Gracie's mom. "I'm not much interested in what you call me as long as it's not a slur.'' Gracie's mom said. ''What's a slur?" I ask Gracie came into the talk "A slur, is a word that is inappropriate or not right for a child to say,'' Gracie said tucking a strand of hair back behind my ear, out of my face. "ok-'' I said, not sure what my reaction or something was supposed to be. credits :: music :: ラ・ム・ネ (ra-mu-ne) - snails house inspo's :: @.journey-, her loyal series code :: what little code there is, is by @.free-spirited- thumbnail :: @.free-spirited- story :: @.free-spirited- characters :: @.free-spirited- oc's used :: Hazel, Gracie, Willow, Myriad © @.free-spirited- 2021 productions™ plz, do not make anything besides fan art of these characters w / o my permission.
