This project was made in celebration of this Scratch account turning 8 years old! Welcome to the Remastered version of Bouncy, my first platformer. ----------------------------Instructions----------------------------- -Use WASD or the Arrow keys to move the ball. -Get to the right side of the level without touching red. -Anything blue is a bounce pad. -Click the ball to switch costumes. -Press "m" to play music once. -Press space for a surprise! -Play through all 42 levels as fast as you can, with as few deaths as you can! -----------------------------Other Notes--------------------------- -This is a redo of one of the first Scratch projects I ever created, Bouncy. This is the original project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/110649701/ -Bouncy has gone through 7 or 8 years of development, changing quite a bit. What you see here is a collection of the different features I added to (and later removed from) the platformer. -I had originally taken the Ball sprite from the scratch library, but it didn't look like it was rolling, so I made each costume a solid color, to give it the illusion of rolling (even though it doesn't roll). I only used the blue ball costume in the original project. Here, you can click the ball to cycle through its different costumes. -I had at one point taken the sound "midieval 1" from the Scratch library, and put it in a forever loop, but that got tiring, so I removed it. Now, you can press "m" to hear it play once! -I had at once included a surprise for some Scratchers I knew, but later removed it. Now, you can press space to see it yourself! -I also redrew the levels in vector (I didn't know the difference between Vector and Bitmap when I drew the levels, and since the costume editor default was bitmap, that's what I drew the levels in). They now look better! ------------------------------Credits--------------------------------- -Thanks to @qwertybob1 for the platformer from which I got inspiration and the platformer engine, seven-ish years ago. He has since left Scratch, along with a good portion of his Scratch peers. -I drew the levels (twice!), and updated the code. -Thanks to Scratch and its creators for giving me a place to learn and be creative for the past 8 years. I would be a lot different without, and I don't know what I would do if I were ever separated from Scratch. -Thank you to you! Thanks for viewing this project, and therefore supporting me. ----------------------------------Tags--------------------------------
