there's a difference between using a pose and heavy referencing (press space) using the same pose: (totally okay!) - using the same pose but with your own art style - can have a different expression or have something like the tail or ears in a different direction heavy referencing a specific drawing: (not good in my opinion, but it depends on the person) - same pose - same expression - try to do the same art style in anatomy some artists are okay with this. what I think, is that if you're developing your art style, then yes, it's okay to reference mine. but don't make it your goal to make it 100% like me. use my art style as some inspiration to branch off of. if you want to do the heavy reference thing with my art, do it traditionally or put it somewhere not online. because when i'm looking through projects, and see something that looks almost exactly the same as something i made like a week ago offsite, it hurts. and when you promise to stop but still do it, that hurts too. and from my point of view, what i think, is that you think it's "smart" or something to reference something i haven't posted yet so that way it looks like you were the first so when i post it looks like i referenced you when i didn't. now, i'm 99% sure that's not your intention, but have you ever thought of what it's like to the other person? what if this was happening to you? and this is in NO WAY directed at ANYONE. this is just a general statement. so please, if you know you're doing it, please stop. q^q
