Getting expensive gems will grant experience points. Experience points will give you potential prestige points. The more experience points you have, the more potential prestige points you will have. After gaining a significant amount, the option to prestige will appear. This will soft-reset your current money, income per second, and money per click, while converting your potential prestige points into spendable prestige points.
