Some traditional sketches :) Name: Katelyn (Goes by Kate) Hill Age: 16 Birthday: September 17th Ideal profession: Vet Personality type: ESFJ-T Personality: Generally very happy and supportive of other people, but if you make her angry she gets very emotional. Likes: Cats, coffee, pink, animals in general (but especially cats) Dislikes: occult stuff, rain Other: She is friends with Roselia and Seven, works at a cat café with Seven Backstory thing: Kate looked at the map, visibly confused. Her pink and blue attire stood out against the monochrome buildings. was hard to navigate, especially when compared to her small hometown of Eastwood. She checked the map to the buildings, hoping she could match them up, but to no avail. Suddenly the door to a white, box-like building opened, and a small girl with black hair and dark skin stepped into view. “Oh! Uh hello, can you give me some directions? I’m a little lost.” Kate asked. “Huh? Uhh ok then, where do you need to go?” Kate smiled in thanks, and procured my map, and showed her where I needed to go. “Brahms Middle school huh? It’s just around the corner you know” the girl remarked “I go there, so maybe we’ll meet again.” She said, not showing whether or not she thought that was a good thing. “Thank you for your help!” Kate exclaimed “I hope we can meet again! What’s your name?” “It’s Roselia” she said, looking away. “Mine’s Kate!” Kate smiled and waved, going around the corner to the high school, but Roselia only waved once she was out of sight. ••• Seven walked into the classroom right as the bell rang. “Cutting it close as always” Mrs. Smith commented. Seven hurried to his seat, still sleepy. “I suppose it’s time to start class, so allow me toI introduce our newest member of our classroom” Mrs. Smith said, smiling at the class. Most people didn’t share her enthusiasm, and most people were only halfway paying attention. “Why don’t you tell everyone a bit about yourself?” the teacher suggested. “My name is Kate Hill, and I’m looking forward to spending time in this class and getting to know everyone better!” That’s a boring introduction. Seven thought to himself. “Well then! I’ll be asking Seven to help her transition here!” Beaming at the classroom, she pointed out Seven to Kate. As Kate sat down, Seven looked away from her, not because he didn’t like her or anything, he just didn’t want her to start talking to him. Of course, she did anyways. “So you’re Seven, that’s a weird name.” Kate remarked “Oh! I don’t mean weird in a bad way; I think your name is really cool!” She hurried to clarify and make amends. “Oh, no it’s fine.” Seven muttered under his breath, still avoiding eye contact. ••• The bell rang, signaling the start of break. Kate looked around for Seven, as he was supposed to show her around the school. Seeing him in the corner of her vison she ran up to the black-haired kid. “Hey! So, are you going to show me around or something?” she said casually, making Seven jump. “Uhh yeah, or something.” Seven whispered, wishing she hadn’t spotted him. “Well, I guess we can start with the computer lab…” “Yeah! Sounds good!” Kate exclaimed. As they toured the campus Kate carried the conversation, asking questions about Seven. “So what’s your favorite class?” “Math” Seven mumbled back. “Ooh, I’ve never been very good at it.” Seven stayed silent, guiding her to the upper floors, not looking where he was going until he bumped into someone. “I’m so sorry!” He apologized profusely. Looking up to see Rosalina. “No, it’s fine” Roselia said “Oh hey! It’s you!” she noticed Kate. “Hi! Seven’s just showing me around the school.” She replied. “Oh is he?” Roselia said jokingly, and looked down at Seven, who was trying to avoid eye contact. “I’m surprised he didn’t ditch you.” Seven glared at her. “Well, have fun!” she continued on her way downstairs. ••• (continues in notes & credits)
Kate was at home, sitting on her bed and scrolling through job listings on her phone, looking for a part time job. Even though ____ was a rather large city, nothing really stood out to her. Throwing her phone to the side she left her room to go outside. As Kate looked around, she decided to try and find Roselia’s house again, maybe they could hang out or something. As she walked around, she was able to find Brahms middle school without issue, and from there she walked to where she first met Rosalina. Once arriving Kate knocked on the door she assumed went to Rosalina’s house. When the door opened, she was greeted by an older woman who greatly resembled Rosalina, “Is this Roselia’s house?” Kate asked, hoping she wasn’t wrong. “It is! You must be a friend of hers, are you?” The woman happily said. “My name is Mira, I’m Roselia’s mom” she smiled at Kate. “We know each other” Kate responds, giving her a genuine smile back. “That’s wonderful, please come in! She has another friend over right now, Seven! You wouldn’t happen to know him too?” “Oh! Seven’s here? I do know him!” Kate was happily surprised. Mira guided her through the hallway of the house, to a room in the back. “Hey! That was cheating!” Kate could hear Roselia yell, presumably at Seven. “Was it really?” “Roselia!” Mira looked into the room. “You have a friend here!” “I do? Who is it?” Roselia questioned. “Me!” Kate appeared in the doorway. Oh it’s the new girl Roselia thought. “Well come in!” Roselia said. “Seven’s just making some illegal moves in SSBU, want to join?” she said looking pointedly at Seven. “I didn’t know that counted as cheating!” Seven defended himself. They seem to be good friends. Kate noticed. “Sure! Do you have a controller?” Kate asked. “Yep, let me get it for you, one second.” Roselia left the room, leaving Seven and Kate. Seven looked at Kate; she seems like the kind of person who goes out of her way to make friends with everyone. Seven looked away. “So, do you know any part time jobs around here?” Kate asked. At that moment Roselia entered the room. “Part time jobs? Hey Seven, isn’t your workplace hiring right now?” Roselia said. “Oh, uh yeah.” “That’s great! Where do you work?” “A… cat café.” Seven admitted, embarrassed. “He really likes cats, even if he doesn’t let it on.” Roselia remarked. “Anyways, do you know how to play?” Roselia sat down in front of the game. “Well yeah!” ••• As Kate walked home, she looked at the cat café’s website on her phone. Roselia had made Seven give her the information. She hadn’t heard of cat cafés before, but Kate was ecstatic at the idea. After all, she really did love cats. She read that the café was hiring a barista. As she walked, she smiled. I’m going to stop here, because I don’t have much time to do this, so yeah, sorry for making you read through all that :0 Anyways, I have a few notes on the story: this is set when Kate is 15, so 8th grade (she transferred schools after her birthday, this is in early October) Kate still keeps in touch with people from Eastwood, I haven’t figured out a name for the city this is set in yet, so you just get ____ where the city name will be :/, Roselia and Seven met in 6th grade and Roselia basically forced Seven to be her friend, Seven didn’t actually cheat in SSBU, Roselia was just tired of being beat by Seven (Seven’s really good at video games) and Kate does end up getting the barista job. Also, currently Kate is in in freshman year of high school, and is good friends with Seven and Roselia, she tries to get Seven to be more social, and always fails. Roselia gets a lot more school focused, but she’s still a nice person. Kate and Seven work at the cat café and Roselia volunteers at the local library. So uh yeah that was kind of long, have a good day! Art is by me Music is pixel pig by Di young Design is by @gloomcloud19
