Chapter 4... The ballpit. Well, why would it be 'BallPit Friends' without a ballpit? Well, ballpits are colorful, and not dark looking. That's what this one was. Duncan turned, and almost jumped. Brittany, Jet, Squeaks, and Marsh were staring at him. No, behind him. He turned to one side, and saw June. Her eyes were wide, and she looked at Duncan then the animatronics. Duncan remembered what the voice had said about not to go into the ballpit. June looked at him sadly, took a step back, and fell into the pit. The animatronics all stepped back, and two mint-green cat animatronic ears popped up. The animatronic heaved itself out of the ballpit, and loomed over Duncan, holding June in one hand. "We've been waiting for you to join us. Our little spy has kept their promise, and we'll get right along with our part." Duncan woke up, with Anna and Simon shaking him. "Dude, you scared us! Harper went to go find another flashlight, and wanted us to get you up! Don't scare me like that, okay?" Simon said. Duncan nodded. Anna was staring at him, almost... like she was mad. At him? No way, what did he do? Then he looked at Simon, and realized. Simon and Anna had been friends right along until he came. Then Simon had been sitting with him. Well, not his fault Simon decided Anna was boring. Duncan got up, and saw Blank half asleep. "Should we wake them?" he asked. Anna rolled her eyes. "Of course not! You want Blank to have to be exhausted? They're trying to care for us while we're here, so let Blank sleep, jeez." Duncan sighed. Simon got up, and grinned. "When Harp gets back, we can start looking for your friend." Simon frowned when he said 'your friend'. Anna stood, and steadied herself against the wall. "If you guys had one wish, what would it be? I'd wish to be immortal. So I could prove myself worthy to my parents. Kayla and Alex aren't gonna be the favorites then!" Duncan looked at her. "I'd wish to get out of here." Simon nodded. "I'd wish to see my parents, I hate it here." Then, Harper had opened- wait, Harper couldn't open doors. A tall dog animatronic, taller then the doorway, ducked in, with Harper following. "Guys! I found Lanky! He said he'll help!" Lanky nodded. "I-I gue$$ I c&n." a chest cavity opened up. Harper grinned. "Don't worry, Lanky is harmless. He wouldn't hurt a fly!" Lanky grinned. "Un-l-less th3y hur7 m3 f7rs-st. But I d0n't lik3 hurtin-g other2." Without another word, Duncan knew who had to be spying for Brittany.
