Hello everybody! These application are for June 2021's SAC session. Before we begin with the FAQ, I'd like to thank; @frostiedflakes for creating and hosting two sessions, @swiftrush for hosting one session, myself/@solarsea for hosting a session. @PandasCodingGames, @jextriq, and @MouseyT for hosting a session, and now this one. Small FAQ: (We are encouraging you to read this, even if you have participated before!) 1] What is SAC? Scratch Art Camp (abbreviated as SAC) is a triannual (meaning three times a year) online art camp here on Scratch. It will be in February, June, and October. SAC is inspired by many other online camps such as Scratch Writing Camp. Sessions are one month long and there will be many fun art activities! You will be placed in one of the eleven cabins and you'll try to win the most points. Find more information in our FAQ made by @MouseyT: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/431638887/ 2] When are (co) leader applications due? 11am EST on April 17th. 3] When will we be choosing (co) leaders? On April 17th, Jex, Minn, and Poem will decide, and one of them will notify all the leaders that day. Co-leaders will be chosen by the leaders - not the hosts, between the 17th of April to 30th of April. 4] What is the difference between leader and co-leader? Leaders preferably have more responsibility than the co-leaders, they're more in charge of the cabin - which possibly leads to making cabin decisions. Leaders are promoted in the main cabin, and will be able to add points there, where co-leaders will remain curators and will be unable to add points. Both co-leaders and leaders will be able to add art minutes in their cabin. 5] What are the cabin names? Abstract - Anime - Doodle - Fandoms Landscape - Pixel - Pop - Silhouette - Vector You don't have to do art in the theme of your cabin name, it's really just a small name and there may be reduced cabins. Also - we have two other cabins (Collage & Watercolour), and they will be led by two of the hosts. 6] I've never been a leader and/or participated in SAC before. Can I apply or will more experienced people be chosen over me? Each cabin will have either a co-leader or leader that is experienced and the other non-experienced (Although two experienced people will work as well). We choose applications off of your responses to the questions and your creativity for your application. 7] When are camper signups posted? May 1st on ' profile! If you'd like to be notified comment down below and either or will add you to the list. 8] Why do I need to include my timezone? This is a small criteria for choosing leaders and co-leaders as we preferably wouldn't like all the leaders in one timezone. That would also make adding points, and minutes per art more difficult. 9] How do we communicate with leaders and co-leaders? We have a discussion forum! 10] How will I know my application has been viewed? The hosts will all view them on the 17th and some of them may either leave a heart or comment on them. Don't worry they will all view each and every application! If you have any other questions feel free to ask them!
