Story's down here Dragan・drag-an・a dragon-human hybrid A thud, and the sound of heavy breathing. Two young draganets are huddling in the corner of an underground room, and one is holding a golden device, which is recording their voices. The sound of shouting and thudding footsteps can be heard overhead. “Is it working?” asked the first draganet, who was silver with gold horns. “Yes…” breathed the other, who was holding the device. She was a midnight blue with deep green horns and wore an opal pendant. Hurry, Anahita!” urged the silver and gold dragan, looking anxiously up at the stone ceiling, where more thumps could be heard. Dust was falling from the ceiling. Anahita started to speak into the device. “Stay away from the Trials. They are a trap! Do anything to not get in, or you won’t get out again. The rewards and temptations are great, but they are all lies.” She then shoved the disk at the other draganet. “Do it quickly, Owl!” A shout came. “They’re in here!” The barred door shook and dust fell as the force of a dozen full-grown dragans pounded against a barricade of a thick wooden board. Owl took the disk, and with a wisp of ice-blue fire, the golden device disintegrated into ashes. Anahita breathed a sigh of relief that turned into a yelp of fear as the wood piece barring the door broke, twelve dragans with white pupils and black-scleras came in, and the two draganets were surrounded and taken away. She whispered one more quiet phrase for the recorder. “Beware the Trials of Ascension…”
