Me and Liz learned about the Pythagorean Theorem in Prealgebra. for those who don't what that is it is pretty much how you can find the length of a right triangles slanted edge. Or the Hypotenuse. The simple equation to find this is a^2 + b^2 = c^2 but with our calculator we only have cords to used so we use another formula to find the hypotenuse between two cords. Its formula is √((x₁ - x₂)^2 + (y₁ - y₂)^2) You might also notice that it says "Midpoint" and some coordinates. To find the Midpoint you can use this formula: (x₁ + x₂)/2 , (y₁ + y₂)/2
