A Perfect Octave - Chapter Four Tansysong looked up. Her vision was blurry, and Frostface was standing above her. The tall tom pushed something towards her. His voice sounded different when he spoke. "Nightshade, eat it." Tansysong began to tear off a leaf and lick it, but Frostface ripped it away from her, breathing heavily. "How.. Did you get this?" He managed to gasp out. "You gave it to me?" Tansysong told the tom, turning her head. "No, I didn't. Get out of my den and come back once you've learned how to quit lying!" He yowled. Tansysong groaned, feeling sick to her belly. She caught a glimpse of Nightfang entering camp. She ran up to him, trying to finally talk to him for the first time in her life since she was a tiny, tiny kit. She bumped into the tom, but he glanced down and growled at her. He shoved into her and knocked her into the ground, stepping on her as he walked. Tansysong began to sob, vision blurring again. Perfectheart appeared at the corner of her eye, and he rushed towards her. He licked the she-cat's ruffled fur and began to comfort her. She could tell he'd witnessed what had happened. "Don't worry. I'll find Copperwing and get Frostface!" He smiled as he spoke. The young tom slid into the medicine den, and was quickly out, Frostface already angry and sputtering with growls and words he prepared to throw onto Nightfang. The toms quickly came from the warriors den and ran into Nightfang. Tansysong smiled. She crept into her nest in the Warriors Den and slept, purring at the thought of Brownclaw.
